Why microcurrent as a treatment?

This treatment is an effective tool to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve the texture and appearance of the skin, and reduce the overall visual appearance of aging. The microcurrent treatment works on a simple premise: when the electrical pulses are delivered, it stimulates the skin and tones the muscles. Studies have shown microcurrent facials can increase natural production of collagen up to 10% and elastin up to 45% to tighten skin and reduce the appearance of lines. The electrical pulses also increase circulation up to 35% and assist in lymphatic drainage. Studies also indicated an amazing dispersion of existing scar tissue when treated with microcurrent.*

is this a safe treatment?

Yes. This safe and painless facial helps reduce the look of wrinkles while it improves muscle tone, reduces puffiness, and increases cellular activity. The machine sends weak electrical currents into the skin that mimic the body’s own bio-electric currents. The strength of the current is so minute that is it is often not detected during treatment. The microcurrent facial uses two handheld prongs that deliver precise dosages of energy to the skin. I use a device which is registered with the FDA and has IEC 60:601 Safety Certification.

how long before you see results?

The results are virtually immediate. The number of treatments recommended and time period between appointments may vary based on a person’s skin and health conditions.

Usually an eight-session treatment series completed within four months will enable you to experience incredible results. Results are cumulative over time. After the series is completed, it is recommended to schedule a maintenance treatment every 2-3 months. Some individuals may want to repeat the full series as part of a preventative program. Results from the program will vary based on lifestyle choices.
